Welcome guide · for young people
Everything you need to know before you move in
No jargon. What living here is actually like, what staff will do, what we expect, and how to get help if something is wrong.
Welcome.
Your first week, explained
Someone will meet you on moving day, show you your room and the kitchen, introduce you to the other young people living here and give you a welcome pack with all of this in writing.
You will not be asked to sign anything you have not had explained to you, in a language you understand.
It is your own room in a shared home, with staff who help you learn to live independently. You are not being looked after like a child — but you are not on your own either. You will have a key worker, a support plan and clear house rules.
