Young people support

Support that is steady, practical and yours

Living here is not the same as being managed. You get your own space, a named worker and clear expectations — and help with the things that actually make adult life work.

A named key worker

Every young person has one worker who knows their plan, their history and what they want next — not a rota of strangers.

Weekly one-to-one sessions

Protected time each week to work through the support plan, practical tasks and anything else that is on their mind.

Independence skills

Cooking, cleaning, budgeting, appointments, travel and digital safety — practised together until it is second nature.

Health and wellbeing

Support to register with a GP, attend appointments and access mental health services, with warm referrals rather than leaflets.

Language and culture

Interpreters, ESOL access and support to keep faith, food and cultural practice part of daily life.

Advocacy and complaints

Help to raise a concern, challenge a decision or access independent advocacy when a young person wants it.

What you can expect from us

Our promise to young people

These are written into your welcome pack and reviewed with you in your first week. If we get them wrong, you can tell us — and we have to respond.

You are not a placement.

  • 1

We will listen to you and take your views seriously

  • 2

We will explain decisions and be honest when we cannot do something

  • 3

We will keep your information private, except where we must share it to keep you safe

  • 4

We will not give up on you when things go wrong

  • 5

We will help you build a life, not just a placement

Support model

Support that steps back as independence grows

Support hours are set at admission and reviewed rather than fixed. The aim is always to need less of us, not more.

01

Settling in

Higher support, daily check-ins and a focus on routine, safety and trust.

02

Building skills

Weekly sessions with practical tasks, education or work engagement and health appointments.

03

Stepping up

More responsibility, less direct supervision and real practice at managing the home.

04

Moving on

Transition plan delivered, housing secured and a warm handover to leaving care services.
